4 Products to Clear Skin

I have had a constant battle with my skin. I think I have tried every single thing out there and this is what I have found that works best for me:
FC5 toner and cleanser: This cleanser is amazing. It does not dry out your skin, but you can tell that it helps with preventing oil. Also I would not use this right before a big event because if defensively brings out the oil so you are stuck with some white heads for a while.

Clinique clarifying lotion Toner: True life: I have no clue what toner is, but this does wonders to my skin. I have always been a big Clinique fan and onetime I was at the counter and the lady just kept handing me products and was like "YOU NEED TO TRY THESE" so being peer pressured I tried it and I have not looked back since.

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer: If you are going to moisturize you might as well be killing two birds with one stone. I have gone through so many bottles of this it is not even funny. The only thing I wish it had is an SPF.

Feeling Beautiful Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask: I use this every once in a while, and I feel like you can see the dirt being peeled off (gross, right?) It also smells amazing.

Manners Matter: Maintaining a Professional Email

I feel like its so hard to keep track what is okay and not in electronic communications. Here are some tips that help keep me in line and professional when reaching out to someone over email.

The Name: Your email name should have your name in it, and it should be professional. Something like "Fuzzybear" or a funny pun is probably not the best thing you need when you are emailing a boss or a professor.

Signature: Having a signature makes you email look professional and has additional information if the person needs to reach you via a different medium. This is what mine looks like:

Jane A. Doe
XYZ University
Phone number

Timely: Under no circumstance should emails be answered more than 24 hours. Try to email someone back in the same business day even if you have to reply, "I do not know the answer, but I will try to figure it out".

Short and Concise: No one wants to read a novel. Get straight to the point, and bullet points are always a plus.

This Thursday's ING's

These are just the random things I have been doING with my spare time. I feel like I always have some kind of finding that I want to share, so I might as well share it here!

Photographing// I love East Lansing in the fall. Almost ever time I walk outside I have to take a picture. It stinks that this is slowly coming to a close. It started snowing today.

Drinking// I have never been a tea drinker until this summer when I was introduced to yogi tea. I tried the berry detox and fell in love, now I always have 3 or more flavors stocked up in my apartment. I am a huge of anything lavender flavored (Still on the hunt for lavender ice cream) so the anti-stress tea is amazing. Its interesting to read the ingredients and see how they work the way they do.

Reading// I hate to admit it, but I love everything written by John Green. His novels are so cheesy and high school, but I can not help it. I am currently reading Paper Towns before the movie comes out and it keeps me guessing what is going to happen at every corner.

Listening// This list should just be turned into Bridgette's guilty pleasures. This list is making me look like a 12 year old girl. However, I can not stop listening to Taylor Swift's new album 1989. This girl is a marketing genius. I have not bought an album since Aaron Carter, so no wonder her sales are going through the roof.

Watching// I can not stop watching American Horror Story. This weekend I went home to "get stuff done" and I watched the whole new season of American Horror Story. The only thing with this show is that I can not get over is what  Evan Peters looked like from sleep over back in the day (here)

Shopping// I have a few skills and one of them is finding random online boutiques. This store has so many unique pieces. Its a little more expensive than say, forever 21, tobi, or H&M, but their stuff is still reasonably priced. I would say these pieces are a mix between Lilly Pulitzer, and Show me your Mumu. How cute is this for a traveling outfit. This for a night out with friends. And this going out shirt.

For everything else you can check me out on my twitter, tumblr, or pinterest.

The Winter Coat Low-down

Being from the south I never had to have a winter coat. I always went to New York City in march, so I always had a pea coat on hand, but that in no way prepared me for the intense Michigan Winters. From December to March I live in my parka. As much hate as the parka is for being "basic", it is the most comfortable thing that will keep you warm getting from point A to point B. These are some of my other top winter coat picks.

October 2014 Favorites

Taylor Swift's new album came out this month so October will defiantly qualify as top month is year. I went blonde this month which was a crazy change. I like it temporally, but I will probably be going brunette back soon.

Also, this month I got to enjoy all of the fall things Michigan has to offer. I went to my first cider mill and drank my body weight in apple cider. I went to all the MSU tailgates, and I even got to run the MSU vs UofM game day ball from Ann Arbor to East Lansing. Here is what got me through the month:

Crest White Strips// twice a year I use these things. They work wonders. All you need is one box and you are good to go for 6 months.

Suave Dry Shampoo With Keratin// I jumped on the dry shampoo bandwagon. People have been raving about dry shampoo and I never understood it until now. I have a class right after workouts so I need to get ready at lightning speed, and this is amazing. I have oily hair so I was spectacle but I love this stuff.

Fair Isle Sweaters// Just when you think you can not think of anything better than a sweatshirt, the Fair Isle Sweater hits. You can look put together all while staying cozy.

Plaid Wool Cap// I am a chronic hat wearer to morning classes. How often is too often to wear a vineyard vines hat to class, you may ask? The answer is the limit does not exist. If I can wear a hat and still look fallish then thats a win.

Donut-Shop Coffee//Holy yum. This might be the replacement to ice coffee. My coffee maker broke so I have been using the Keurig maker and I had to try out some new options. This coffee is amazing. Its kind of sweet and thick.
Bean Boots// Standard bean boots love post. I love that these are water proof. I can not help but walk through puddles when I wear these. They keep your feet warm and are cute.

Taylor Swift 1989// Oh. My. Gosh. Just when you want to hate tswift 1989 comes out. This album speaks my soul and I do not care who knows it.
